Yes, I'm still way behind on getting my self portrait up >.> Major programs going into production at work have me swamped. Haven't had a full weekend in a month and a half. I'm starting my portrait over from scratch this evening and will hopefully have it up by Sunday at the latest.
Anywho, here's the next challenge for anyone that wants to get started on it:
**Week 3 Challenge**
Pick a favorite movie and try roughly breaking down the story into just sixteen key moments using only pictures, no words. Make sure they're clear enough and connected enough that a friend who hasn't seen the movie can tell you what's going on without any additional explanation.
Bonus challenge: If you had to cut down the number panels to just eight, which ones would you drop? How many panels would be enough to show all of the key moments of the story?
Special thanks to Scott McCloud's Making Comics for this week's challenge.

Something's stirring at my fingertips...
I think the drawing bug is back...time to draw 85 shitty pictures to get it out of my system. It's that time of year again!
Odd lesson of the week
Lesson learned this week:
:boing: Spend hours drawing a piece of art that you really enjoyed and no one looks at it http://cazantyl.deviantart.com/art/Chernobyl-162112297
:boing: Spend thirty minutes drawing a unicorn and a dolphin in front of a rainbow, and it's a huge hit http://cazantyl.deviantart.com/art/Unicorn-Loves-Dolphin-161460916
Ahh well, I loved drawing both of them, but I find this really funny for whatever reason :D
Special thanks to all of those people that have given me a llama the past few days and HUGE thanks to #Llama-Trade (https://www.deviantart.com/llama-trade) for featuring me!

Give me a llama and I'll give one back!
Pens
I've been using some new pens lately and just have to say that I absolutely love them both.
Staedtler Pigment Liners come in a five pack with 0.1, 0.3, 0.5 and 0.7mm widths. They're smooth, dark and absolutely awesome to draw with.
Prismacolor Premier Fine Line Markers come in a pack of 5 with 0.05 (not a typo), 0.1, 0.3, 0.5, and 0.8mm widths. I used both these in combo for my last drawing and it really pleased the hell out of me.
Admittedly, the Prismacolor's didn't feel quite as smooth as the Staedtler's, but then again, the Prismacolor that I was using is itty bitty.
What do you guys use for inking? I used to be addicted to quill a
